My Oma and Opa would probably cry over this…

If there’s one word that I can use to describe this trip, it would have to be punny.  Every day was filled with a new pun that lightened the mood and made all of the other American people around us think that we had spent too much time under the desert sun.

Some of my favorites?

  • “We’re already Moroccan and Rollin!”
  • “Rooftop (Fes)tivities”
  • “Moroccan my way downtown, walking Fes, faces pass”
  • “Fun fact: Morocco Bama is the President of the United States of AMarrakesh!”

Safe to say, there was not a lack of humor this round.

But as for Fes, Morocco – there were so many memories that will keep me entertained beyond the puns. I watched a chicken get murdered in the Medina, I sniffed mint at a leather tannery, bought a beautiful scarf for my time in the Sahara (coming soon), and had African great time!

To see this world was incredible and one of my friends said the most eye-opening truth…in Fes, people were comfortable with being comfortable. No one wanted or needed more; they were just so complacent and accepting of their lives. It was refreshing and inspiring. So, continue to Morroc and Roll with me as I head into the desert…
