I was stuck in a rock and a hard spot in the Sahara Desert and here’s why…do I sing Hakuna Matata or do I sing A Whole New World? My location didn’t alot for either of them but I deemed it appropriate that this truly was a whole new world.
Tell me princess, now when did you last let your heart decide?
I couldn’t tell you (haha). I’m pretty routine – take that metro, budget for that week, use Stylebook to plan and coordinate each outfit for every week. My heart is pretty much always put on the back burner.
A dazzling place I never knew!
I had never planned on going to north-Africa. I imagined climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro or going through a safari and maybe a Spring Bok/All Blacks game, but never going through a desert and sleeping under the stars. It was dazzling, from waking up before dawn and riding camels to hiking to the top of a sand mountain, adventure was at every turn.
I can’t go back to where I used to be…
I thought that Europe had forever changed me, and it had. But another day, another country and after all of these experiences, it’s hard to go back to the person I was in Malibu. But, I don’t want to!!
A thrilling chase, a wondrous place, for you and me.
10 out of 10, I would go back to the desert. I love being cut off from society and completely in the moment. If I could do this in the District, life would be much simpler, but unfortunately, that’s just not possible. It was a wondrous place. I had only ever watched the sunrise in Marfa, but sitting there with some of the best people I’ve ever met, made me feel like Carrie Bradshaw in Dubai.
And it was wondrous.
