17 is my lucky number and it’s the year of the big one-seven! I am so excited for what this year is going to bring. With Secret Clinical Strength, I know that whatever the #StressTest, Secret’s right there on my sides, keeping me fresh. (pun intended)
As part of my New Year’s Resolution, I am giving up some stress in my life! But, as you may remember from the summer season, I love a good bucket list! So, with the help of TeenVOGUE, I came up with This Year’s list.
A Bad Habit I’m Going to Break:
The messy chair – we all have one, or that corner in a room where we just throw things. Well, I am going to do my best at putting everything where it should be and keeping that office chair reserved for its purpose of resting my bum while I write.
A New Skill I’d Like to Learn:
I want to learn to cook, desperately. I received two cook books for Christmas and recipe cards from the Four Seasons at my last visit, and I intend on using them!
A Person I Hope to be More Like:
Sarah Jessica Parker. She exudes class, has exemplary writing skills (or at least Carrie Bradshaw does), and her fashion is impeccable. If I could be half the gal she is, then I would be too fortunate.
A Good Deed I’m Going to Do:
I’ve been involved with CASA for a few years now, but I want to and am going to volunteer at one of their offices, and hopefully, do it more than once in the upcoming year.
A Place I’d Like to Visit:
I did a lot of international travelling in 2016, so I’d love to explore the US of A. I dream of going to Chicago, being a bean, and brunching with the best of them!
A Book I’d Like to Read:
Girls in White Dresses. As this season of life has it, a lot of my friends are engaged and I am so excited for them. So, perhaps, reading more about the modern life will give better understanding the who, where, and why.
A Letter I’m Going to Write:
I’ve written plenty of explanation letters and apology letters – this year I want to write a love letter.
A New Food I’d Like to Try:
I’m going to try Thai food. I’ve shockingly never had it and there’s a cute little shack in Malibu that’s calling my name.
I’m Going to do Better At:
Less apologies, more thanks…instead of saying “I’m sorry I’m late or frantic” I will say “thank you for waiting for me and thank you for always being there for me.”
Let’s go ahead and make this year the best yet! I am so stinkin excited for the adventures to come!
A very special thanks to our friends at TeenVogue and Secret Deodorant for sponsoring this post! As always, my opinions are my own.
