“And so it was…that she, having waited so long and endured patiently realized and obtained what God had promised.”
As you may know by now, I have accepted a job with Disney Public Affairs and am adjusting to living a life on an opposite coast – Toto, we’re not in Malibu anymore!!
That being said, I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I’ve remained super dormant on social media for the past couple of months, and no, I don’t think I’m coming back anytime soon. I want to be genuinely happy the next time I post, and I’m just not there yet. It’s still a recovery zone.
It’s been really nice, though. I’ve spent a lot of time with my family, praying, and healing an extremely broken heart.
The healing really began at Lake Murray, where I sat with three incredible women who talked about God like He was their best friend. It was really like a switch flipped in my mind. We were in a beautiful home, the sun shining as bright as it should, Southern accents talking all around each other, and a pure calmness.
It was everything I needed when I thought about a week away. I hadn’t felt such a peace since I was in Greece, and it felt so pure and wholesome. A lot of people think of a lake day as being full of water competitions and sun-tanning, but admiring the view and thinking of the future all while matching my favorite man was the perfect formula for a picturesque day.
So, would I recommend taking some beautiful souls and baby loves to the pool on the lake for your Summer 2018 fun? Yes, I totally would!
Join me again, as I get back on schedule, and begin my recaps on Boston!!
A special thank you to our friends for providing their home on Lake Murray, We had the BEST time ever!
