My favorite day of the week is when Mandi and I go to EPCOT for dinner at the Food and Wine Festival. As you know by now, I’ve mapped out my entire game plan of how I’m doing this festival and it is going well!
I took a Buzzfeed quiz and it told me I must be 31 or older, and it’s probably right because most people my age are going to Coachella or ACL, but not me. Give me all the food and booze!
So, on this night in particular, Mands and I hit up the Active Eats booth. Now, the moment you’ve been waiting for…here’s what I ate…
I first got the Loaded Mac ‘n’ Cheese with Pepper Bacon, Cheddar Cheese, Peppers, and Green Onions. Did you drool? Yeah, I did too as I was ordering it. Let me tell you, I deplore onions. I find them disgusting and want to hide all of them forever. But the peppers and the gooey cheese goodness had me so distracted that I couldn’t even tell they were in there! Heidi, if you’re reading this, Active Eats might give your pasta a run for its money.
I paired the pasta with the M.I.A. Beer Company HRD WTR Cucumber & Lemon Lime Hard Sparkling Water. Imagine you’re at the spa, drinking your cucumber water…how does it get better? If it’s spiked! I love my detox juice but something about it beginning my buzz for the evening made it feel like it wasn’t the last day of summer – summer was just beginning.
And lastly, the dessert.
I got the Sweet Avocado Crema with Strawberries, Yellow Cake, and Tortilla Streusel. I assumed it would taste like strawberries and guac – two wrongs not making a right. I WAS WRONG. If anyone knows this recipe, send it my way, because oh my word it was to kill for!
After a stressful day of work, this meal hit the spot. It was fantastic. Have you been to the Food and Wine Festival? If so, we’d love to hear your recommendations! As for now, two days down and so many more to go! Stay tuned!!
Once again, a special thank you to Disney for hosting us! As always, all opinions are my very own!
