“The only thing getting lit this weekend are my fall scented candles”
It was a rough weekend, and not one I want to share. Although I got closure on some issues from my past, I had new problems arise. That’s the funny thing about life…you shut one door and another one opens, and they’re not always holding opportunities.
But, I decided to buck up and put on a good front and all for the love of pumpkin patches.
I love autumn – sweater weather is my favorite and moving to Florida was the worst idea for someone obsessed with the lower temperatures.
Southern Hill Farms hosted us for the afternoon and it was wonderful! They had food trucks, horses, tractor rides, blueberry lemonade – oh, and of course, pumpkins!
I snagged two really cute ones that have made their home on the tv-stand in my house. I’m very minimalistic when it comes to my home, so I don’t like changing the decorations, but I’ll throw in a seasonal addition or two…still not sure on a Christmas tree though…
I put my pumpkins out, loaded the bowls with candy, lit my favorite Anthropologie candle, and took all my sweaters and crewnecks out of storage.
For a heartbreaking weekend, I was glad something could get lit.
A special thank you to our friends at Southern Hill Farms for hosting us. As always, all opinions are my own.
