And yet, another room that has been successfully transformed! It feels so good! I didn’t change the tiles, or that horrid yellow wall, but went for some more neutrals.
I really wanted a navy-blue couch, but those are a little pricier than I was willing to spend, but whenever I find my “forever” home, I’ll splurge on those pieces that I want to keep for years to come. For now, I’m obsessed with this grey couch.
Finding a coffee table that was everything on my long list of requirements was nearly impossible, but much like the couch, this is an upgrade and still a really pretty piece. I love that there’s a hint of rustic decor in my home, tied into the wall art above the couch.
Styling the coffee table was a little more of a task than I expected, as it seems that no one had a tray that went with the whole room and was a proper size. But, on the wing of a prayer, and the right turn down an aisle in Hobby Lobby, I stumbled across the sweetest tray that was sized perfectly for the remotes!
Another little change that made a big difference was adding the rug! It completely tied the whole room together and added a more put-together vibe to the entire sitting area.
The biggest thing I’ve learned thus far, is that I must have corners everywhere and round objects are not for me. I’ve also been working incredibly hard on the upstairs office and cannot wait for that to be completed over the next couple of weeks!
While I’m not showing you all four bedrooms and three bathrooms of the house, I am really excited to show the fourth leaf on my lucky clover (aka this now beautiful house).
