The Good List: Another valedictorian to make you proud, the sound of a bat making contact with the baseball & breakfast tacos done right.

I thought I was the braniac of my family – nope, I’m not kidding at all. And then, these two little brothers of mine started talking about calculus at a family dinner & I felt dumber than a sack of potatoes. Then it hit me…this is why I wasn’t valedictorian like them. Haha. Alexander is the most sentimental, genius-stricken & athletically gifted in our family. AND THAT’S NOT FAIR. So, I think it goes without saying (but I’ll say it anyway) that I couldn’t be prouder to watch the final Muri walk across that kelly-green stage and play my favorite sport over the last couple of days. The Muris get better as they get older & I can’t wait for this next season of life for him!

What I’m Here For

Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows: This is hands down one of the most hilarious books that I’ve ever read! It’s raw, real & it truly made me laugh out loud. Coming from a more conservative family, there were a lot of relatable moments shared in it. If you like 50 Shades but are interested in exploring a culture outside of the American one, I sincerely recommend picking this bad boy up. Now, it’s back on track and time to read Sweetbitter.

A Gentleman and a Scholar: In addition to all of the graduation celebrations, I also got to spend time at my favorite location – from behind homeplate. Although the Seahawks didn’t advance on, Alex was a total rockstar!

Finding Someone Else: This weekend was hard – from a memorial service for one of the greatest influencers in my life to heartbreaking losses, I also put myself right back on the market. Good times, right? But here are things I’m keeping from this failed relationship: feeling at home in Florida, because meeting him was like coming home. Knowing that my insecurities are mine alone, and I can still feel loved with them. & Becoming aware of an emotion/feeling that I didn’t think would ever happen for me.
