The Good List: Kitchen dance parties, catching the sunset as you switch the laundry & no crowds at Trader Joes
What I’m Here For
Insane for Insomnia: My sweet boy sent me Insomnia Cookies when I had a terrible start to my day on Tuesday. It was so sweet and such a surprising gesture…it truly made my day.
Butter my Biscuit: I have found my new favorite spot that I can’t wait to share with you in the next couple of weeks. G & I went last week and then I returned to try their acai bowl and it was just as incredible as I wanted! So, stay tuned for something buttery 😉
Feelin’ Better: This week was difficult – I was homesick and at times I felt very alone. But, instead of harping on it, I took it as an opportunity to work on myself and do my best to hold true to my self-care checklist.
“Day Seventeen: Create a Sunday Spa Day at home” I went out and bought some new & incredible smelling shampoo and some great hair oil and took my time shaving in the shower. You would think this is an easy task, but honestly, I’m just exhausted at the end of the day and want to quicken it up so it was oh so nice.
“Day Eighteen: Perform a random act of kindness for a stranger” Perhaps I didn’t do something for a stranger, but with my best girl being in another state, I wanted to shower her with love and send her a sweet & small gift to celebrate her engagement!
“Day Nineteen: Make a vision board” This was incredibly fun! I love putting together things that inspire me and get me excited so everything from The Office and Friends, to love and reminders, this was just the best!
“Day Twenty: Eat your favorite dessert” I was really craving some apfelstrudel but couldn’t make it down to a German restaurant, so this day was a blow.
“Day Twenty-One: Give yourself a manicure and pedicure” I bought a really pretty pink nail color, Sugar Daddy by Essie, and I LOVE it! It’s sweet & perfect for spring!
“Day Twenty-Two: Make a list of 5 things you love about yourself” I wrote this list and put it on the inside of my planner, so that it could be a friendly reminder as I’m preparing for every day. My two favorite traits are hopeful & witty.
“Day Twenty-Three: Go full KonMari and get rid of clothes that don’t spark joy” It feels like spring is in full bloom over here so I was able to go through all of my cute clothes and get rid of the winter clothes I wouldn’t see myself wearing again. It was phenomenal and I highly recommend!
