There’s been a restaurant, The Collective, that I had been dying to try since it had opened in Oklahoma City. This collection of restaurants, eleven to be exact, was an exquisite take on a food court.
Garrett and I were running late for brunch on a Sunday so we got in the car, drove into the city and feasted.
I’m not a huge advocate of bbq, but The Flying Pig might convert me into a believer. Garrett and I both devoured the loaded mac & cheese (his had brisket and mine had bacon) and we still haven’t stopped talking about how incredible it was.
We took our dessert across the pond and had Oh Baby! which could be described as a Dutch baby delicacy unlike any other. Garrett had the bananas foster Dutch baby, and we both agreed that it was the best bananas foster that we had ever had. I had the strawberries and creme Dutch baby – it was out of this world. I’m a huge lover of pastry creme and thought it would be drizzled across the Dutch baby but it was smothered and it was everything I ever wanted.
I can’t wait to try the other nine restaurants because we all know, I’ll be back!
