There are few things that I love more than a winter wedding. As I’m coming off two back-to-back weddings, Carmen’s and Ashlyn’s, I can’t help but think about how beautiful the autumn air was and how stunning everyone looked in their jewel tones.
It’s normal to be concerned about wearing black to a wedding, avoiding matching the bridesmaids and trying to figure out the formality of it all (aka dress lengths and dressing for warmth).
I am obsessed with all things navy, emerald, black and metallic when it comes to a winter wedding! If you throw on a fur coat or some stunning shoes that pop more than your heel, there are so many stunning options this time of year.
Shein: The dress above was my first, and successful, purchase from Shein! I know it’s a hit or miss, but if you read the reviews, you won’t be disappointed. I was obsessed with it and it fit beautifully! It runs extremely true to size but it looks even better than I could’ve ever imagined. I wore it with some maroon and silver heels to give it a pop of color and a gold H necklace with some diamond studs.
Mode: While I was at Ashlyn’s wedding, I met the owner of Mode and she was rocking this stunning black dress…I’m telling you all, black at weddings is in and it looks so chic! I fell in love with this dress and if you’re looking to catch a few eyes, I really recommend this dress. I also can’t speak any higher of these platform heels from Mode – I wore them for Carmen’s wedding and went 8 hours in them with no blisters or pain in my feet! They run true to size and will run out soon, so click away!
Nordstrom: If you are a fan of sequins, get your fresh take on the little black dress from Nordstrom. And!! If you’re wanting to look more delicious than a side of cranberry, then you can’t go wrong with a stunning, cranberry wrap dress.
All of these dresses are versatile enough that you can wear them as often as you like and to as many events as you would prefer! I can’t wait to see what styles are trending for all of my weddings in 2020!
