I’m not going to lie, it has been a hell of a week and I am emotionally exhausted. That being said, I went to work on Friday and chatted with my boss and she had been down in the dumps as well. You know, I guess it’s just been one of those weeks for everyone.

But, in the spirit of making it seem effortless, I took a little vacation.

Malibu has been rainy and mountain lion infested, so I found some solace in a town I used to call home – sunny, San Diego.

I’ve lived quite literally everywhere, and I always feel a little better when I travel back to familiar places. One of my brothers was born here, I came back when I was in middle and high school, and it brings a lot of peace to my soul.

I left feeling rejuvenated and comforted by familiar beaches and military-family-love.
